Today, I managed to watch the movie 'No Greater Love' from sidereel.
It is a story about a couple who broke up after a nasty quarrel. The wife left her husband and a 10-month old baby. She got into alcohol and drugs and never returned to her husband. Then one day, husband and wife met in church. She looked different. There was a strong desire in her to honor God and obey God's word. He, however, was not a christian and was struggling to follow her ways. Things really got in the way when he was spending so much time at work when he was with her that one day, after a bible study, he shouted at his own son who was then 10 years old. That got him thinking alot and he decided to divorce his wife legally.
However, when he told his friend, his friend scolded him out of love. His friend told him what a fool he was. Everything that had happened was God orchestrating to make him realize that He was in control. That was when his wife moved in with him and returned him the divorce papers which he had signed.
Lessons learnt:
1) Everything that had happened to me is not coincidence. But rather it is God moving things in my life to bring greater glory to Him. Whatever I went through, what I am going through or what I will be going through, He is always there with me. He teaches me to focus and rely on Him. True, things sometimes get so tough that I feel tired. But He never leaves me. I thank Him for that.
2) If I honor God, He will honor me. This lesson seems a bit difficult to write but as I recall from the movie, the wife honors God in whatever she does. She partners with Him in every decision in her life. And God makes things work out for her with her husband. I may not have a husband now but I believe that no matter how old I am, if I honor God, He is able to provide for me a life-time partner, someone who is after God's heart and honor God. Right from the time I attend Watten Connection cell till now, God shows me that He is still concerned with me. He cares for me and is willing to provide for me. All I have to do is to focus on Him, to rely on Him and to honor Him.
3) No greater love than God's love. There is no love that is greater than God's love for me. He sent His only Son to die for me, washed away my sins so that I could be with Him and even provides for me time and again. If He is just another human being, He would have given up on me long ago. But thank God! His love is not ordinary love. It is Agape Love.
Thank you Lord for loving me and accepting me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Thank you for providing for me. Thank you for showing me such wonderful movies, teaching me more about You. I want to honor You, I want to focus on You, and I want to rely on You. In this life, I have nothing but You. This life belongs to You. Whatever that happens to me Lord, please grant me the strength to go through. I commit myself, this life I have in You, unto Your loving hands. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Law Abiding Citizen
Just watched this show minutes ago. It was a very nice show.
The story was first told of a man with a happy wife and daughter. However, 2 robbers came in to spoil everything that this man has. He was stabbed, his wife was stabbed and raped right in front of his very eyes by one robber and his daughter was killed by that same robber too. Ironically, this robber became a valuable witness and was given 3 years' imprisonment. Instead, his accomplice had to die through lethal poisons. The man became disappointed with the outcomes of this court case and began to have a series of killings by himself.
First on his list was the robber who robbed them. He was supposed to be on lethal poisoning but this man mixed the poison so that this robber died a painful death. Next, he rescued the other robber from prison and began to lure him into a deserted place. He paralysed him by injecting medicines into his body. Then he brought him to one of his properties. There, he began to dissert the robber's limbs one by one. Throughout this ordeal, the robber was able to feel the pain and fear.
Then the prosecutor lawyer was being murdered. He was handcuffed and put into a tunnel with oxygen mask. The police must get to him by 15 minutes or else he would die. But because one of the Justice Department staff did not abide in his timing, it killed the lawyer. Next was the Judge. To the man, the Judge had made a very unfounded outcome, causing the murderer to be out in the open. Slowly, as the show progressed, staff of the Justice Department were killed.
Through all these killings, the man had done it alone. He used his money to buy property that was near the jail so that he could make a tunnel and kill people in a mysterious way. At first, the defending lawyer, Nick thought that he had an accomplice. But later, he found that he was doing all these killings alone. In the end, Nick managed to retrieve the bomb that he placed at the Mayor's office. The man activated the bomb and in the end killed himself.
Morale of the story: It is sad that sometimes, judges make mistakes in judgement and cause so much hurt to the surviving family. Though this is not widely announced in the newspaper, yet I believe many people are being suffered because of the flaw in law. It is like the Government telling the public not to borrow money from loansharks but keeps all doors closed when the poor wants to borrow money to tide over their situations. Very ironical! This movie is really a much thought after one. Thumbs up!
